This is the GPL Newsletter for 2/7/25
Hello! Long time no speak! We apologize about that. After the election results came in, we needed to take a step back, regroup, rest, vent, cry, and process — well, everything.
In the regrouping phase, we discussed what this podcast could look like going forward in Series 2, and we have some amazing and hopefully impactful things coming your way soon.
But for now, we are 19 days (!!!!) into this administration, and wow wee has a lot of stuff been happening. And if you’re like us, we aren’t ingesting news like we did before. Even if we were trying to keep up, we could never at this rate.
So we got to thinking. If we can’t keep track, you might not be able to either.
Which, as we have learned, is the point.
That’s where this newsletter comes in.
Every Friday, we are posting a newsletter with links, clips, memes, and other things that we saw happen in the news, on the web, on social media, and within the government. We want you to be informed and not get deluged.
We don’t have any answers or marching orders as of yet, and I (Jalon) personally as part of the 92% I’m doing no heavy lifting — but I’m staying informed and so should you. And while Joy is resistance, so is community. They win when we are isolated and hiding.
They can’t win when we lean heavily into
