Just Between Us Girls
I don’t want to keep bringing this up on our the pods — so I’m adding a new section. It’ll stay down here where I can crash out real fast but not bore y’all with my hot sports takes.
If you see it, great, but this is just between us girls….
…..that girl on the Fever is a problem. And not a good one either.
This girl has never won a big championship, isn’t even number one in what she is suppose to be great at (three pointers)1, and is the most flippy floppy cry baby in the league. Her white tears2 is going to get someone harmed.
There are players who get racially attacked for playing tough basketball + her flippy flopping. The W is hella physical. And all you CC protectors keep showing your asses3 by not realizing the W is way more physical than the MNBA.
And she can say all day she is not a racist…but the thing is, racists thinks she’s a racist…4 And don’t get me even started on Sophie.5
She doesn’t need security, she doesn’t need to go to Europe to be treated like royalty, hell, she doesn’t even need a shoe.6 What she needs to do is grow the fuck up, take ownership of her fans doing and saying vile shit in her name, and get in the lab and become an actual good well-rounded basketball player so she doesn’t have to rely on fouls and risk getting technicals.

MJ in the beginning of his career wasn’t big and got pushed around a ton on the court. You know what an actual GOAT did? He got in the gym and got bigger.7
She is not your Larry Bird. Or the female MJ. She’s not even the face of the league, no matter how much folks try to say she is.8
She is the female version of Christian Laettner. And I Hate Christian Laettner.9
If whiteness is important to you, but you want to root for a better all around player, that other players actually like and love to play with, who has actually won a National Championship, can I interest you in one of my favs, and the face of my team, Paige Bueckers.
She is bad, man. And she is so much fun to watch.

"White tears" is a socio-political term used to describe displays of emotional distress or victimhood by white people (especially women) in response to conversations about race. It often refers to how these emotional reactions can deflect accountability and shift the focus from racial inequality to the white person's discomfort.
This is what I’m talking about.
Her team mate Cunningham is very much one.
The difference of the things A’ja needed to do to get her first show (i.e. be great, win something…anything…) is amazing. Meanwhile, “the face of the league” put her hand in a Black competitors face (who went on to win the National Championship), rode the bench for the first two years of her career, and FLIP FLOPS LIKE A MALE SOCCER PLAYER. Like. Be so fucking for real, y’all.
