Time To Get To Work, Y’all!
Most Americans aren’t thinking about the election yet, but the Midterms have already taken over my life.
In a good way.
It’s easy to feel exhausted these days. But I’m finding energy from my organizing family.
And I’m going to keep singing this song:
Community is the antidote to authoritarianism.
Not just because it makes us feel better—though it absolutely does.
Because it works.
Authoritarianism depends on isolation, fear, and hopelessness.
Democracy depends on relationships, trust, and participation.
Like I said last week, The opposite of despair isn’t optimism, it’s participation.
We don’t have to solve every problem. We just have to do our part.
That’s why The FEDDs are launching our Organizing Club in Dallas.
This isn’t a political meeting.
It’s a working group for people who want to organize their own neighborhoods, strengthen their communities, and help increase voter turnout before the 2026 midterms.
Whether you’ve organized for years or you’ve never volunteered before, you belong here.
Our first meetup is Tuesday, July 28, and I’d love to see you there. Just fill out the interest form to join the email list. There’s no commitment—just a way for us to send you the details for upcoming working sessions.
Because no one is coming to save us. We protect us.
This week’s actions:
Join the FEDDs Organizing Club.
Sign up for the email list, invite a friend, and help us build the grassroots infrastructure that will flip Texas. Every organizer who brings another organizer expands our capacity.
Make a few quick phone calls.
Use the 5 Calls app to contact Senators and urge them to oppose Todd Blanche’s confirmation as Attorney General. There’s an easy script, it takes just a few minutes, and congressional offices really DO count calls. Call your Senators to make sure they know you want them to block the man who is still hiding the Epstein Files. But we must all call to pressure the 3 Republican Senators primed to vote against him. John Cornyn of Texas, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, and Susan Collins of Maine are the 3 keys to toppling Blanche from being our next AG. Cornyn and Cassidy both lost their Senate seats because of Mango Mussolini so they aren’t looking to protect him, and Collins is in the fight of her life in Maine and knows how unpopular voting for Blanche would be. The vote in the Senate is scheduled for July 30th. Let’s flood them with calls until then.
The work ahead is enormous.
But so is our capacity.
