We are your hosts, Joey Cade and Jalon Nichols. Two Dallasites trying to save their city. More or less.
Joey is a Freelance Executive Producer and Jalon is a Freelance Line Producer in the film industry and both are severely politically tapped in — with Joey being a Prescint Chair and Jalon, well, being a Black woman — who lives in the South.
We wanted to help our city and those near and far from us to become smart and educated voters. With an obscene amount of props on our City of Dallas 2024 ballot (18!!!) we wanted to get the word out on how to best vote for our city. And mostly because our city had a few propositions snuck onto their ballot by outside extremists — we wanted to shout loud and far to help them stay away.
We’re sitting down with community leaders to help us make sense of all of our ballot measures and candidates. And why we all collectively should care.
